And remember, MUD spelled backwards is DUM.

As interesting and as cool as this trailer looks, I swear I am so sick and tired of filmmakers thinking that there HAS TO BE some little kid in a horror movie that says stuff like, "Don't be scared, Mommy", or "He just wants to come out and play with us", or any other number of random "chilling kid-lines". Even in The Sixth Sense, which was good, but not great, (it was way over-hyped), Haley Joel Osment got on my nerves. I just wanted to punch him in the face.

It's stupid. It's a crutch. And it was never scary. It's just plain annoying.*



*Footnote: This does not apply to all children in horror films. Considering one of my favorite horror movies is The Omen, that is different. Damien wasn't channeling evil, he WAS evil.
